Project Name: Agora Hub: Urban Tapestry of George Town

The design concept for this community center draws inspiration from the lifestyle of the Penang people. Urbanism is the way of life and characteristics of cities and towns, which is suitable to Penang's context of having developments in infrastructure and constructions. Through researches or even the experience of living in Penang, it is undeniable that Penangites at any age have a strong sense of culture and they value it although urbanism is happening in this state.

Urban Tapestry explains urbanism comes from nowhere but the traditional sets the basic for a city to grow, just like a tapestry which is created by stitching colourful pieces of fabric together forming a gorgeous big piece. This shapes Penangite's identity and the pride in them. Agora Hub will be the place where people gather, engage in social activities with the community and it could be for a festival or a regular evening.
