Project Name: Cor 0

Charles Bukowski, a famous American poet and novelist implied that, to be a writer, words must be bursting out within one's heart, as to be genuine and passionate instead of bland and mediocre. As Cor 0 was designed for a author and his family, the concept took lesson from Charles and expressed the importance of passion for not just an author, but creators of all.

The form of Cor 0's plan derived from the exploding lines from the center point, which later construct the 3 dimensional shapes later on. Furthermore, the tree at the center point represents the heart of the building, as all living beings originates from nature itself. To further emphasize on the raw, unfiltered aspect of the concept, brick expressionism was chosen as the primary architectural style of the building while taking inspiration from the old Chinese houses, namely with its courtyard and circulation.

As this building centers around the writer, it provides them with the necessary space for when they are writing, or brainstorming for new ideas; such as the double volume study room and the office. Cor 0 was also designed with the intention of providing different interesting perspective to aid the writer on their own idea making process.
